It happens all the time: you are out cruising in your vehicle and then you hear a loud BANG followed by flap, flap, flap, flap. Tips for before and after a flat tire
- The reason that most tires blowout or become flat is due to driver negligence. Tires have to be inflated to a very specific degree to work at their very best. When a tire is under inflated then it isn't a powerful as it might be and the weight of the automobile could cause a blowout. Or if a tire is over inflated then it’s is overstressed and has no place to set the excess pressure created out of driving. It's strongly recommended that you purchase and learn how to use an air pressure gauge so that you can check your tires regularly.
- If you're not replacing all your tires and you’re using old ones, then make sure that your best tires are on the back wheels. If you have to choose between the front and rear tires then you should place your money into the back tires because these tires are more important for stability and prevent fishtailing.
- Go to a mechanic soon after you've got a spare tire put on. Spare tires are there if you need them but are not supposed to be driven on permanently. A mechanic will have the ability to fix the flat tire or substitute it with a tire of similar quality.
